Brentford has confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Cooimhin Kelleher from Liverpool in a deal worth £ 18 million.

Brentford has officially announced the permanent signing of the international goalkeeper Cooimhín Kelleher from Liverpool.
Kelleher has signed a five -year contract, with the club having an option to extend it by another 12 months. The 25-year-old leaves Liverpool after 67 performances in all competitions and holding 24 clean sheets. He was part of the team who won the Premier League title twice.
Brentford director of Football Phil Giles said:
“I am very happy to welcome Cooimhín in Brentford. We have checked him for a while and knew that his contract in Liverpool started in the last year.”
“When the opportunity arose for Mark Flekken to join Leverkusen, Cooimhín was immediately our first choice. He is not only a top goalkeeper, but it is rare to find someone who is so widely praised for their character. I am convinced that he will be an excellent addition to the team.”
First team goalkeeper coach Manu Sotelo added:
