A former Premier League star left Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce on the back of Jibes about his weight of the Boss of the Turkish side.
The attacker joined the Turkish giants in the summer in a loan agreement of Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, together with the former manager of the former Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United Mourinho.
It started well, with the star who picked up three assists and one goal in his first five league games for the club, but the situation quickly became sour when he was omitted from a Europa League team.
Allan Saint-Maximin, formerly from Newcastle in the Premier League, seemed to focus on Mourinho when he was omitted from the Fenerbahce team for their Europa League second leg collision with Rangers.
The Turkish giants were instructed to destroy a 3-1 deficit against Rangers in March and eventually lost to penalties. Saint-Maximin, however, was omitted and went to social media to express his frustrations.
But now he and Mourinho have separated, where the 28-year-old goes back to Saudi Arabia after the expiry of his loan agreement.
“I can't thank you enough all year round for all love and support,” posted Saint-Maximin on social media as he revealed the news. 'It was a nice but difficult experience, with problems outside of football, but everything is good now thanks God.
'I did my best on the field despite these complications and I am grateful for the constant love and support that you gave me every day.
“Fener will always have a special place in my heart, thanks to everyone and wish you the best.”
It was also social media where he expressed his frustrations because he had been omitted from the team to face Rangers, posting: 'It will cost more than this to beat me. When a lie takes the lift, the truth takes the stairs. It takes longer, but in the end it always comes. If God is with us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31. '
Mourinho mocked the function in response and exposed the reasons for his exclusion, including the player who was supposedly overweight.
“I didn't know that Saint-Maximin was talented in poetry,” said Mourinho. “I'm not bad in that respect either. When a football player works well, works hard, trains every day, he is fit and can climb the stairs. He doesn't need a lift.
'However, if a player does not train properly, arrives late, is too heavy, he is not ready to play, he needs a lift to go up. Because he quickly gets tired on the stairs. '
It is remarkable that Saint-Maximin decided to get a bite to his manager after his answer and to rub his boss's claims.
“Lies produce flowers but no fruit,” he replied. However, he started playing again for Mourinho, with his last game in April.
