Ange Postecoglou who continues as Tottenham manager would be 'good for the dressing room', according to a Spurs star.
The Australian has left for two years on his contract with Spurs, but it is no secret that club heads are watching possible replacements this summer.
Postecoglou led Spurs to Glory in the UEFA Europa League last month, with which he ended the 17-year-old trophy-dried of the club and won his promise of 'Always' silverware during his second year. The success of Tottenham in Europe, however, was in stark contrast to their Premier League form, which resulted in an embarrassing finish of the 17th place.
The Spanish defender Pedro Porro has emerged to support the controversial boss and insists that the Spurs dressing room is behind the 59-year-old.
“I am not thinking of club football because I am here with Spain and we have two important games this week, but he would continue to be good for the dressing room,” he told The Guardian.
'He has built a very good group and coaches also need time. It didn't go well in the competition, but he lets you win a trophy. That is also important. The people in the dressing room with weight must understand that. But as I say, I now think of the national team; There will be time for that. '
Postecoglou admitted before he went on a vacation after the season that he was not sure if he would still be in charge, the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
It was reported that Spurs made contact with Thomas Frank earlier this week, where the Brentford -Baas was recommended on a large scale as a strong candidate to take over from Postecoglou. According to Foot Mercato, Frank discussed his vision of traces during the conversations and he identified some possible transfer goals.
However, it is also noted that, although Frank is high on the shortlist of Tottenham van Managers, chairman Daniel Levy is considering various candidates.
Porro added: “It's just that … we're inside and we know more or less how things are, don't you? I'm not going to lie, it influenced me to see [people say] They would fire him to be honest.
I'm very close to him. He has been an important coach for me and it is thanks to him that I have mine [best] Football these two years. It is complicated because in football in general things are not always dependent on you, but to be honest, in my opinion I think in my opinion – we are happy with him. '
The Europa League triumph from Tottenham means that they participate in the top five of the Premier League – Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle – in the UEFA Champions League of next season.
