According to reports, Manchester United has opened conversations with Brentford for Star Forward Bryan Mbeumo.
The Cameroon International, 25, has indicated that he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Brentford is willing to have their former signing of the record leave this summer, but will not throw him cheaply.
According to Sky Sports, United has “established contact” with the bees prior to making a formal offer.
This summer, Mbeumo has attracted interest from Tottenham, Newcastle and Arsenal.
But United has received an indication that the attacker would rather sign for them.
The Times claims that Mbeumo wants a substantial wage walk at Old Trafford.
They add that the United target after £ 250,000 a week is – five times its current £ 50k salary in Brentford.
Mbeumo has another year about his bee contract, although the West Londoners have an option to extend the deal by 12 months.
Brentford is claimed that he demands at least £ 60 million to make their star leave.
Baas Thomas Frank recently said: “It is clear that if he is sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It's a lot. Mucho. Really a lot.
“How many Wingers score 20 goals for a center tablos club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethics. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player.”

Mbeumo came to Brentford for a then-club record £ 5.8 million in 2019 and has since played alongside Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney.
After Toney's departure last summer, Mbeumo became the most important man in the Gtech Community Stadium and scored 20 goals in 38 Premier League performances.
Only Mo Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland scored more Prem objectives than Mbeumo last season.
Man Utd wants to do business early this summer, after he has already announced the £ 62.5 million acquisition of Wolves star Matheus Cunha.
While the Red Devils would like to strengthen the attack, club leaders are also wary of reducing their wage account.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, both on the north of £ 300,000 a week, will return from loans in Aston Villa and Chelsea respectively.
While Antony is also back from his spell at Real Betis.
United was also enthusiastic about £ 30 million Ipswich star Liam Delap, although the attacker has chosen Chelsea instead.
