A former Arsenal -Cult -hero looked totally unrecognizable when he enjoyed a beer before the Champions League final in Munich in Munich last week.
The former Prime Minister League star was seen in a Stein or Bear next to the former Hull City and Russia manager Leonid Slutsky before he attended the exciting 5-0 Thrashing by Inter Milan while Luis Enrique's silk lifted their first Champions League trophy ever.
The 44-year-old, who scored 31 goals in 144 performances for the Gunners, hardly seemed recognizable when he was wearing a blue cap and completed his new look with black glasses and a white T-shirt.
Nicknamed the 'Baby Face Assassin' by some, the Russian also seemed to put in a sausage and chips.
The former winger moved to the Emirates for £ 15 million in 2009 from Zenit St. Petersburg and enjoyed a successful four -year -old Stint under Arsene Wenger.
He is best known for a remarkable individual cameee, where he scored four times in Anfield in a sparkling eight goals against Liverpool in 2009.
It is indeed Andrey Arshavin.
The retired attacker, who played 75 times for Russia, is also praised by Gunners fans for sweeping in the winner against Barcelona to anesthetize the Spaniards with 2-1 in their Champions League round of 16 Clash in 2011.
Despite his heroic status, fans could still not recognize his new look.
“He looks so innocent and … normally here … can't believe that he is the same man who scored four against Liverpool,” wrote a fan on social media.
“He looks like a teacher in the field of science,” added another.
A fan said: 'Imagine you see him at a Beerhall and he says:' Yes, I played in the Premier League for Arsenal. '
Another wrote: “That guy posted four beyond Liverpool, lets it sink.”
It is not the first time that Arshavin Arsenal fans surprised with his new appearance.
He shocked fans by wearing a woolly hat and large black glasses while he took the London overground to see Tottenham Fulham beating 2-0 in 2023.
After leaving Arsenal in 2013, Arshavin returned to Zenit before moving to the Russian side Kuban Krasnodar.
He ended his career at Kazakh club Kairat in 2018 and now holds a back room position in Zenit.
