Ian Machado Garry has suggested that the former UFC champion Welterweight should retire after his recent disastrous performance.
Ian Machado Garry recently won a large bouncer victory against the rising welterweight candidate, Carlos Prates, who again put himself in the title.
The Irishman then weighed a backup for the UFC 315 head event between Belal Muhammad and Jack della Maddalena. Della Maddalena then went to Dethrone Muhammad to become the new champion.
After the fight, Machado Garry led a feud with Della Maddalena after the Australian made comments about him and his son at the run -up to his fight.

Machado Garry suggests that Leon Edwards should retire after his recent loss
At one point it seemed guaranteed that 'the future' would clash with Leon Edwards in the cage after the two were involved in a short feud after the team of Edwards Machado Garry kicked out of their gym.

However, Machado Garry believes that the next step from Edwards should be retired from the sport and claims that if he was the Brit, he would now put the gloves down.
“If I was Leon, I would retire. He clearly no longer has love anymore, clearly does not have the talent for the best young youth in the division and yes, just kick it in, say that you were world champion and the streets of Birmingham go in and tell the people of the story of what was, not what is, said Machado Talk sport.

Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, despite his recently impressive performance, he will have to wait at the peak of Della Maddalena vs Islam Makhachev, confirmed with the former lightweight champion as the next challenger.
