Arteta goes full Wenger as he struggles to do up his coat after EPL win

MIKEL ARTETA imitated former boss Arsene Wenger last night… by struggling to put on his jacket.

The 42-year-old Spaniard was coached by the Frenchman at Arsenal between 2011 and 2016.

Wenger, 75, famously found it difficult to zip up his old knee-length club jacket.

He was often caught on camera fiddling with it while trying to zip it up.

After the Gunners' 2-0 win over Manchester United last night, Arteta discovered a similar problem with his own jacket.

As he walked away from his Amazon Prime Video interview, the Arsenal boss could be seen struggling with his zipper.

After finally closing it, he saw the funny side and seemed to laugh at his own struggles.

Following the incident, former reporter Matt Scott posted a video clip of it.

He joked: “So Mikel took something away from his time under Wenger.”

Fans loved the throwback, with one replying: “Haha, we need a side-by-side clip! This is amazing!”

A second wrote: “Wenger disciple.”

And another added: “Arsenal heritage.”

While Arteta reminded fans of Wenger with his jacket antics, one pundit compared him to Tony Pulis last night.

Former Tottenham and Man Utd star Dimitar Berbatov, who worked for Amazon Prime Video, made the comparison.

He said: “Probably the Premier League is the only league in the world where you have so many players around the goalkeeper, pushing, shoving and causing chaos. Normally it becomes a foul.”

'Not here. You have to be strong. And that's probably why he [Ruben Amorim] watched from the side and said, 'What's wrong with my goalkeeper?'

“You have to work on that. As we joke, Arsenal is the new Stoke City, right?

“Depending on set pieces, which can give you the win, as it was today.”
