Sweden remain ‘hopeful’ Rolfo will be fit for Euros after no fracture

The only two blots on a different perfect night for Sweden women in their 6-1 victory on Denmark on Tuesday were the goal they admit, and seeing left-sided star Fridolina Rolfo left with her leg in the first half.

Rolfo needed a few minutes of treatment after a collision with Josefine Hasbo van Denmark, before he was pulled out in the 25th minute, when Sweden reached the UEFA Women's Nations League Finals.

It was feared that the FC Barcelona Femeni player had suffered a leg fracture, which would disappear from the UEFA 2025 this summer in Switzerland.

However, there was some reassurance from the team doctor of the Blagult, Houman Ebrahimi, who describes the injury situation as “hopeful”, indicating that it was not as bad as first suspected.

Further news came from the Swedish FA, who confirmed that Rolfo had not suffered a break.

“Fridolina has not suffered a break. Fridolina is now going home for further treatment, and this is done in the dialogue between the medical teams of Barcelona and the national team.”

While the left back, which also plays as a left -sided forward, is clearly not in full fitness, the news is positive for Sweden prior to the euro 2025 of the women, who starts in less than a month.

Sweden will start their campaign with a different match against Denmark on July 4 in Geneva, before they played Poland in Luzern on the 8th and Germany in Zurich on the 12th to complete their group C lovers.
