Arsenal is interested in Rodrygo from Real Madrid while keeping planning the best way to strengthen their team this summer.
Left and striker are the priority positions, and the club has a number of goals in each while they weigh the ideal way to spend their budget.
The new sports director of Arsenal, Andrea Berta, who started in March, is supposed to collect information about the best players in every position before he decides with manager Mikel Arteta who acts.
Rodrygo is high under the left wings on their list, together with players such as Nico Williams, Leroy Sane and Morgan Rogers – and the club wants to sign quality.
Reports in Spain claim that Rodrygo was set this week for conversations with the new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, with the future unclear despite the future of the 24-year-old despite three years on his contract.
At Striker, Alexander Isak from Newcastle, Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, the three preferred objectives are long considered, although the list extends further and their top choice remains unclear.
However, Newcastle is sure to keep Isak, who is also admired by Liverpool, now they are in the Champions League, while Manchester United and many other clubs are interested in Gyokees and Sesko too.
Arsenal remains convinced that it is the signing of the real Sociedad -midfielder Martin Zubimendi, although the player still needs a medical one. The club is also looking for a backup keeper and possibly some younger options at Full-Back.
Williams athletic wants to keep
Athletic Club President Jon Uriat has unveiled the club's wish to keep winger Williams.
Sky Sports News reported earlier this year that Arsenal was interested in signing the Spanish international, who is said to have a release clause of £ 50 million.
“I believe we have a winning and interesting project for everyone, and Nico is part of that project, just like many other players,” Urior told the Spanish news output El Correo.
“The project becomes easier if we keep our players – and I believe that Nico and the rest of the team have a very exciting year.”
Starmer supports Arteta – and wants to be striker
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has supported Arsenal manager Arteta for next season and encouraged the club to buy a striker this summer.
Arsenal came in second behind Champions Liverpool in last season's Premier League – the third year in a row finished second in the competition – while they also reached the semi -final of both the League Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The challenge of Arsenal on several fronts, however, was the entire season due to injuries to important players to the important players, especially Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, where Starmer called on the club to invest in a new frontman this summer.
“There is no staggering, again in second place was frustrating, had been there, did that,” Starmer told Sky Sports News. “But I have to say that this team has been fantastic this year.
“They were good last year and built on it, in particular the real one [Madrid] Game we played, which was incredible.
“And so there is a really good team there. We just need a little extra. What I would say about the team this season is if you were to ask yourself who player of the match was after a match, what we as fans do, it varies between the team.
“Saka was clearly quite often when he is rightly playing, but if you continue the team, Declan Rice had a number of fantastic matches against Real towards the end of the season, so that shows me that it is a team and not just one or two players.
“So it's a good core team, so in my opinion Arteta has done good work, brought us to a very good place, but we have to start from here – I know we said that last season, but it's the hope you keep going and you kill if you are not careful!
“I think one or two extra players, I would not go for widespread change, a striker. That is the one who jumps and it has been for a while.
“It seems that we are sanding midfield, so that's good and the rear four is pretty good, perhaps a little more power due to injuries, but it is the front role that we need. We have to add there.”
