The former Juventus Scout moved to Granada last year to become their sports director. This summer he is linked to a return to Juve and also AC Milan.
De Spiegel, however, says that Tognozzi is in conversation with the new technical director of Arsenal Andrea Berta to become his assistant.
Tognozzi would arrive as a replacement for Jason Ayto, who left Arsenal last month after 10 years.
Ayto was noticed last season as the technical director of the caretaker after the resignation of Edu and before the arrival of Berta.
