Kayla Harrison conquered the heaviest weight saving of her career at UFC 316.
The former dual PFL-Lichtweight champion and Olympic gold medal winner in Judo is now competing in the Bantamweight Division of the UFC Women's Bantamweight, where she challenges the Riem against champion Julianna Peña.

Harrison, a former lightweight, had only made 145 pounds once in her MMA career before he came to the UFC. Harrison made the Bantamweight limit of 136 pounds for her first two fights against Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira.
Harrison did not receive a pound allowance for her championship fight against Peña and threw the scales for the first time in her pro career on 135 pounds after a 'torture' -weight.
The #2 bantam weight candidate for women looked on the scale, but seems to be in good spirits on Saturday evening for her title fight.

Kayla Harrison releases a statement after challenging weight loss
Harrison is proud of himself for making the championship weight and proves her doubters wrong after weeks and weeks of diet and discipline.
“Reaching 135 represents more than a successful weight reduction, it's my testimony,” wrote Harrison on 'X'.
“The early mornings. The late nights. The tears. The discipline when nobody looked.
“The silent belief that wore me when I was tired and overwhelmed.
“All glory be to God. Isaiah 41:10,” Harrison added.
The opponent of Harrison, Peña, was completely smiling when she weighed at 135 pounds to make their title fight officially for UFC 316.

Harrison has had the transformation from the start of the Vechtweek to weigh on Friday.
Harrison bowed her biceps at the UFC 316 press conference and the fans with her physique blew.
Harrison showed her strength in her UFC debut on UFC 300 last year when she dominated former champion Holly Holm for a second round entry.
Harrison succeeded that performance with a decision -making effort about Ketlen Vieira on UFC 307 in October, the same night, the same night that Julianna Peña took the throne in a controversial split decision.
