Man Utd urged to sign Chelsea flop who’s perfect for Ruben Amorim

Chelsea flop Mykhailo Mudryk has been told to move to Manchester United as his future is at stake.

The Ukrainian winger has struggled at Stamford Bridge since his £89million move from Shakhtar Donetsk. The 23-year-old has scored just 10 goals in 73 appearances in all competitions.

He has fallen down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca after making just one Premier League start under the Italian this season. And now ex-Blues midfielder Emmanuel Petit has suggested he move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Speaking to Gambling Zone, the Frenchman said: “Sooner or later Mudryk has to make a decision. He joined the club two years ago and what has he done?

“He has not improved, he is missing a valuable period of his career and his self-confidence has dropped. He's 23 and he's already wasting too much time and with the new sporting direction at Chelsea I don't think he has a future there.

“However. I think Man United could be an excellent opportunity for him as he fits into Ruben Amorim's formation. With his 3-4-3 he could play him inside, just behind the striker at Old Trafford.”

Mudryk has just under seven years left on the long-term contract he signed at Stamford Bridge. Boss Maresca gave his vision of his future in October.

He claimed the Ukrainian still had a future in west London but demanded improvement. Maresca said: “We want the best for Misha, since day one we have tried to help him. He's probably one of the guys who says the learning process is slower than the rest.

'But he's making progress. I'm sure we will slowly get to where he will score more goals and be more important for us.”

Should Mudryk move to United, he would be moving in the opposite direction to England star Jadon Sancho. The wideman was loaned to Chelsea, with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Sancho has scored once – that goal came in his most recent appearance against Southampton – and provided five assists since turning blue. Both he and Mudryk will certainly be looking to impress in Chelsea's next outing.

Maresca's side will take on London rivals Tottenham this weekend. They could potentially close the gap on league leaders Liverpool – who face rivals Everton – to four points with a win.
