Wolves want to sign Barcelona star favoured by Hansi Flick

Barcelona will have to sell players this summer to be able to pay for their goals, and a new name has emerged as a candidate to continue during the transfer window.

The will of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ronald Arajo and Pablo Torre are mentioned as players who can leave during the summer transfer window. Alex Valle has already left, while a deal for Ansu Fati to join as Monaco on loan is considered at an advanced stage.

And another graduated La Masia who could be moving this summer is Gerard Martin. The 23-year-old, who is a favorite of Barcelona head coach Hansi film after the performance as a backup to Alejandro Balde last season, attracts interest from Premier League-side Wolves, as reported by Matteo Moretto.

Wolves will start starting left back Rayan Ait-Nouri to fellow Premier League side Manchester City, and they started looking for a replacement. And it seems that Martin is on their list of candidates to be eligible for a summer drawing.

As it looks now, Martin will continue as the deputy of Barcelona for the following season, after he has gained the confidence of Flick. But given the fact that he is not a normal starter, it is likely that the club would consider a sale, depending on Wolves' offer – if they take a step in the coming weeks.

It is unclear at this stage that Barcelona Martin would appreciate, but given his team status it should be more than the € 6 million they have received this week from the sale of fellow linksback Valle to Serie A Side Como. For now it is still to be seen whether wolves make a concrete attempt to sign the young defender in the summer.
