South Africa defeated Zimbabwe 2-0 in Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium to get their Cosafa Cup campaign back on track.
Bafana Bafana had had a shock connection earlier in the week by Mozambique in their tournament opener, but on Saturday they made up for it by beating their northern neighbors thanks to goals from Kabelo Dlamini and Ime Okon.
The result in Bloemfontein is in second place in group A, a lonely point behind Mozambique who followed their opening day victory with a 0-0 draw with Mauritius earlier on Saturday.
Bafana Bafana then take on Maureota Stadium on Tuesday 10 June.
