Real Madrid offered major Club World Cup injury boost

Real Madrid -Baas Xabi Alonso was able to receive a major injury boost prior to his FIFA Club World Cup team.

The Spanish coach has until 10 June to confirm his selected panel for the competition with Los Blancos opposite Al Hilal in their first game on June 18.

Alonso assesses his options, but the current international break means that all plans still have to be completed because he is waiting for potential news for recurring players.

The current Letelslijst with a large number of important absents with Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba are all missing.

Late calls will be made on Dani Carvajal and Brahim Diaz, but Brazilian duo Rodrygo goes and Endrick Felipe is expected to be good- with the first to play for his clubFutus in the US.

Despite a general photo for Alonso, Eduardo Camavinga makes a late push to be fit.

France International Camavinga was previously excluded from competition with 22-year-old missing in action since mid-April due to a serious muscle injury.

As part of an intensive rehabilitation program in recent weeks, he is now being assessed at 50-50, with reports from Marca that indicate that a late call will be made by Alonso about his availability.

Alonso will give him every chance to make the flight to Miami with new signing sessions Dean Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold Trent in line for their club debut.

The extensive tournament starts on June 14, but with Real Madrid placed in Group H, they only start four days later.

The opening match against Al Hilal – now under the leadership of Italian boss Simone Inzaghi – is followed by a collision with Mexican side Pachuca on 22 June for a final group match on 26 June against RB Salzburg.
