Chelsea would like to add to their team prior to this summer's club and seem ready to make Borussia Dortmund star and former man City -man Jamie Gittens their newest addition
Chelsea Look Op To have Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens make their fifth signature of the summer while Enzo Maresca disrupts his team for the World Cup Club.
The blues have been very busy since the end of last season. The Brazilian winger Estevao Willian is ready to make his move of Palmeiras -Official alongside the Ecuadorian younger Kendry Paez. Chelsea also signed Laam Delap and Dário Essugo from Ipswich and Sporting Lisbon last week.
And those signing sessions may be accompanied by the English Wideman Gittens. As reported for the first time by the French Outlet RMC Sport, the West-London side has agreed a seven-year-old deal with the 20-year-old to move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has submitted an £ 29.5 million offer – although it is believed to go higher – and hope to get a deal that will be protected before the first part of the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday. Gittens, an international under-21 from England, was actually in Chelsea as a young person and a large number of other clubs.
He eventually found his way to Manchester City, but stopped the club in 2020 when he became the last in a long row of promising English talents to move to the Bundesliga. Since then he has been made more than 100 performances for Dortmund and scored 17 goals – 12 of which came last season.
Despite the fact that he is left for three years to walk his deal, it seems that he will now leave Dortmund if the two clubs can agree. Gittens has a release clause of £ 50 million in his contract, but Chelsea hopes to get it done for a little less.
Sports director Sebastian Kehl admitted earlier this year that there was potential interest in Gittens. He said: “There is definitely a market for him. He is a very exciting player. We will keep discussions soon. If offers come in, we must deal with it.”
“We want to lower wages,” Kehl added. “That said, it is possible that we will continue with some of these players. But some may no longer be part of the BVB team next season.”

Gittens arrives at Stamford Bridge as a possible replacement for Jadon Sancho, who left the club after Chelsea Chiefs decided not to sign him permanently after his loan. The West -Londers have decided not to activate £ 25 million clause in the deal and have therefore paid a fine of £ 5 million.
In a statement on social media, the winger said: “Thankful for the experience. Great love for everyone at Chelsea who felt at home – teammates, staff and fans. I wish the club the very best. Really grateful, thanks Blues.”
Sancho made 45 performances during his season with Chelsea, scored five goals and noted ten assists when the side of Enzo Maresca won the Conference League.
