Justin Gaethje praises ‘genius’ Jake Paul ahead of his next boxing match: ‘Nobody owns him!’

UFC star Justin Gaethje differs from many of his colleagues with his view of Jake Paul's Boxing.

Not many figures have been as polarizing in combat sports as Paul in recent years. The resident of Cleveland started his journey in the ring against fellow youtubers and sports stars, but has since had to deal with a number of prominent fight names.

After 'the MMA legend Ben Askren had beaten for the first time,' The Problem Child 'continued to carry out Tyron Woodley closely. The former UFC champion and MMA fans were shocked by what happened in the immediate Rematch, after Paul Woodley had brutally struck.

Paul has since claimed that he is pursuing championships in Boxing, but has continued to be confronted with criticism of his choice of opposition. That was the case after the 28-year-old MMA veterans such as Nate Diaz and Anderson beat Silva, but it reached a whole new level when Paul met the 58-year-old Mike Tyson the last time-out.

A number of critics of the online star are UFC hunters. However, Gaethje is not there.

Justin Gaethje praises Jake Paul because he is his own boss in combat sports

During a recent performance on the improvised podcast, Gaethje was asked for his opinion about celebrity boxing and the Crossover -Rage that has existed in recent years.

While the will of Michael Bisping and Dana White have been publicly critical of Paul's boxing, Gaethje had nothing but praised how the former Disney star approached things.

“I mean, Jake Paul is a genius,” said Gaethje.

“What he did is so f— – great. Because nobody owns him, nothing has him and did not have to go through the double A, the entire circuit.”

'The highlight', however, predicted a quick end to the trend of celebrities trying their hand in boxing.

“But I don't think it's going to (stay) a mainstream,” Gaethje added. “(Paul) is doing less and less. Because they lose a lot of money, whoever pays for it.”

Jake Paul closed himself for his first boxing match since he defeated Mike Tyson

For now the resident of Cleveland remains in the boxing game, and his next trip to the square circle is just around the corner.

Paul will fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a former WBC Middleweight Champion. The couple will head a map in the Honda Center in Anaheim on 28 June.

The next match of the YouTube star takes place on the same date as UFC 317, the curtain colorer of the MMA promotion for International Fight Week.

A victory for Paul would mark his sixth upright since he lost a close decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023 – although his opponents would question Tyson's legitimacy.
