Joe Rogan was ‘stunned’ after referee missed gruesome injury Jamahal Hill suffered against UFC Atlanta star

One of the most horrible injuries in the UFC history took place on this day in 2021, and it left Joe Rogan shocked.

On June 12, four years ago, the UFC 263 Pay-per-View took place in the Gila River Arena in Arizona. The map contained two championships and many remarkable names.

Before Israel Adesanya defended his title against Marvin Vettori in the main event and Brandon Moreno Shocking Diveson Figueiredo, such as Leon Edwards, Nate Diaz, Belal Muhammad and Jamahal Hill, Brandon Hill Allen took to the cage.

And one of those names left it much worse for wear thanks to an elite struggle that Rogan left staggered.

The disrupted elbow of Jamahal Hill was unseen by the referee during Brutal Paul Craig Armbar on UFC 263

Opening the UFC 263 head card was a slight heavyweight battle between veteran Paul Craig and the then future champion Jamahal Hill.

The unbeaten 'sweet dreams' was generally expected to add a new highlight to his reel in the night, but his Scottish opponent made those plans up in a large and horrible way.

Within the first minute, 'Bearjew' was busy with a conflict and the guard was watching. Hill made the unwise decision to struggle with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist, which locked up in an arm bar.

A visible Snap during the submission attempt made many expecting that the fight would end, but referee Al Guinea did not remember the clear injury. That was even the case when Hill's compromised limb of Hill round fluid, while Craig closed the entry and landed as desired for a TKO interruption.

During the post fight interview in the Octagon, Joe Rogan expressed his shock that the referee did not stop the fight before.

“We were astonished that it was not stopped,” said Rogan. “When you hit him with the Hammerfists, you saw it sniffing like a rubber arm.”

It was later revealed that Hill had avoided a break and instead disrupted his elbow.

Paul Craig needs a similar performance in UFC Atlanta Return

Both Craig and Hill will return to action this month, where the first will get the first shot to impress.

After a failed stint at 185 pounds, Craig is back in the light heavyweight division and wants to cash his status as the only man who defeated the current champion Magomed Ankalaev in MMA.

With only one win in his last six, the pressure on the Scottish hunter is on his way to UFC Atlanta, where he will close the provisional map against Rodolfo Bellato.

The Brazilian opponent of Craig enjoyed a successful UFC debut against Ihor Potieria before he fought a draw against Jimmy Crute previous time -out.

The upcoming UFC Fight Night takes place in State Farm Arena, where the headliner is an important welterweight collision between Kamaru Usman and Joaquin Buckley.

In the meantime, Hill will take the walk in Baku a week later. He is set to head the first visit of the UFC to Azerbaijan against Khalil Rountree Jr.
