The fight between Paul and Canelo Alvarez was planned to take place less than a year after his last fight.
The fourweight champion came from a title defense against Edgar Berlanga, while Paul flew high a few months later because of his victory over Tyson.
Paul shouted Canelo before his match with Tyson and swore to become the 'face of boxing' by beating the four -weight champion.
The couple was in conversation to start on May 3, 2025. Paul even leaked an assumed contract that the couple signed, indicating that the fight was incredibly close to the place.
Paul VS Canelo was announced on 11 February, but a last-minute intervention by Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, stopped the fight.
He is heavily involved in the Riyadh season, which Canelo has transferred one of the biggest contracts that once spread the Paul -fight and had picked his trade in Saudi Arabia.

Only a few days before the planned announcement of Canelo's fight with Paul, the Mexican boxing wrote a five-fight agreement with Riyadh season.
It was initially reported as a deal with four fights, but the five-field deal included four attacks in Saudi Arabia with a single one that took place in the United States.
The first fight in the deal was Canelo's victory over William Scull on 3 May, where he added the IBF Super Middle weight title to his huge collection.
The fourweight champion deserves a reported, dazzling $ 80 million per fight, with the deal of a total of $ 400 million.
This is one of the biggest deals in boxing today and makes Canelo one of the richest hunters in boxing.
While Paul earned a reported $ 90 million for his collision with Tyson, he will be furious to miss such a lucrative match with Canelo.
