The misery of Cody Garbrandt in the UFCachthoek continued on Saturday evening.
Garbrandt has struggled for consistency since winning the UFC Bantamweight title as an undefeated hunter in 2016. And his last setback came against a man outside the ranking.
Raoni Barcelos defeated Garbrandt in UFC Atlanta and earned the kink on all three scorecards after three action rounds in State Farm Arena on 14 June.
Another defeat 14 months after a loss of submission to DeiveSon Figueiredo on UFC 300, a number of advisory Garbrandt left to hang his gloves.
However, a member of the 33-year-old team sees those calls as premature.

Coach says that Cody Garbrandt will bounce back from his last loss at UFC Atlanta
Shortly after Garbrandt's defeat at UFC Atlanta, coach Billy Bigelow responded to social media.
He placed an image of the Garbrandt corner team on Instagram in addition to a supporting message for 'No Love'.
Although many see the loss as the last drop for Garbrandt in the UFC, Bigelow is convinced that his hunter has what is needed to bounce back.
“Not our night in the office, but nothing changes. @Cody_Nolove is coming back,” he wrote. “Happy to be with my brothers. To work again on Monday.”
Cody Garbrandt has been 3-7 since winning the UFC Bantamweight title
The defeat against Barcelos means that Garbrandt has lost seven of his 10 trips since he did not put the legendary Dominick Cruz from the Bantamweight Throne in a great title fighting performance.
A three-fight loss of Skid followed, with the two losses by Garbrandt for archenemy TJ Dillashaw, and 'no Love' has not returned to its best so far.
Victories on Raphael Assuncao, Trevin Jones and Brian Kelleher threatened to serve as a springboard for Garbrandt, but he remained far from the title photo on 135 pounds after two more straight defeats.

It is still to be seen what comes for Garbrandt, who still has to make a statement that tackles its latest setback in the UFC Octagon.
