Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants a top quality striker to increase the title heap of his team next season, but there are also equipped to be expenses before the 2025-26 campaign starts
Arsenal is not going to cash in Riccardo Calafiori this summer – but they will punish an output for Oleksandr Zinchenko with AC Milan who has the former Star of Manchester City.
The Gunners shot around € 50 million (£ 42 million) last summer to bring Calafiori, 23, to the Emirates. After an injury campaign, the Italy International was the subject of an AC Milan study that the former Bologna defender wanted to bring back to Italy.
Milan was rejected by Arsenal and Calafiori also wants to stay in London; That is why AC Milan is now striving for a move for Zinchenko that can leave this summer.
Zinchenko, 28, has left for a year on his current deal and wages are still a bottleneck, but AC Milan is ready to push to get the deal. They are also previously interested in Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal, but his impressive end of the campaign can mean that the Gunners want him to stay.
Injuries and the rise of Myles Lewis-Skelly at left back limited Zinchenko last season to only 15 Premier League performances, with the Gunners now have a wealth of options in the full-back area.
This has effectively seen that Zinchenko has become surplus for the requirements and its £ 200,000 a week plus wages will also help Arsenal to start a summer rescheduling.
They are linked to Ajax Jorrel Hato, but also want to get some players out to enable them to bring in new squadroducations.
Although a possible movement for Hato would further strengthen one of the leanest defenses of the Premier League, Mikel Arteta and Co focus on strengthening on the other side of the field.
A new No.9 is at the top of the summer wish list of Arsenal with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko the leading goals of the club. Andrea Berta, the new sports director of the Gunners, has held advanced discussions about both players.
Ollie Watkins is also on the radar of the club after their failed attempt to land him in January, with the possibility that a deal could be revised.
Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga are also goals with Arsenal who want to add a new dimension to their midfield and new competition for their number 1 keeper, David Raya, prior to the 2025-26 campaign.
