Revealed: Chelsea set to raid France AGAIN as Blues boss Enzo Maresca eyes up exciting 20-year-old winger

Chelsea is again connected to a signing of Ligue 1 with Lyon -wing player Malick Fofana the newest young person in their sights.

Fofana, 20, has been the subject of discussions between Chelsea and the French club, although no formal offer has been submitted according to reports.

The last interest comes after Chelsea was recently linked to Lorient -midfielder Arthur Avom.

According to the French Outlet L'équipe, Fofana is under contract until 2028, but Lyon can seduce a significant offer to cash in.

Born in Belgium, the winger scored six times and gave 11 assists in 41 performances last season in Ligue 1, the Europa League and the French Cup.

Fofana came to Lyon from the Belgian Zijgent in January 2024 for a fee of € 19.5 million (£ 16.6 million).

Once he was covered by his native Belgium and earned a call-up for the first time last October.

Chelsea is interested in signing a straight-footed wing player in the summer window and made an offer of around £ 42 million for Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens.
