The Italian series B -degradation was postponed until Sunday after many Salernitana players have suffered food poisoning on their way home from the first stage against Sampdoria.
The B League series said it had accepted a request from Salernitana to postpone the return match, which was planned on Friday.
The decision was made after considering medical documents produced by the club, as well as a criminal complaint of Salernitana that was submitted by prosecutors, the League said in a statement.
About 20 players and employees fell sick on the plane and brought Salernitana to Salerno to Salerno after the 2-0 loss of Sunday against Sampdoria in Genoa in the play-off first stage.
Salernitana is confronted with the prospect of a second consecutive relegation if they cannot destroy their shortage.
