The upcoming transfer from Milos Kerekz to Liverpool is “actually a foregone conclusion”, according to the father of the Bournemouth defender.
After the impressive season of Kerkez with the cherries, Liverpool reportedly agreed a £ 45 million deal to bring the Hungarian international to Anfield this summer.
The move from Kerkez to the Premier League champions seemed to be getting closer after Bournemouth Left-back Adrien Truffert van Rennes welcomed a five-year deal on Monday.
Liverpool wants to strengthen their options at the left back, after he has already signed Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong to offer competition on the other side.
Kerkez enjoyed a good campaign for Bournemouth and registered seven targeted goals (two goals, five assists) in 38 Premier League performances in 2024-25.
Only Rayan Ait-Nouri (11), Antonee Robinson (10), Daniel Munoz, Trent Alexander-Arnold (both nine nine) and Pedro Porro (eight) registered more among defenders in the top.
“It is only Liverpool for us, and we are not going anywhere else, and we will not talk to other clubs,” the father of Kerkez, Sebastijan, told the Super Indirektno Podcast.
“Everything is done between us [personal terms]. We just have to sort a few details, but it is actually a foregone dealer.
“[Liverpool sporting director] Richard Hughes brought us to Bournemouth. If he said we are going to India, then we go to India, everything has been agreed, just a few small things. “
In addition to reinforcement in the full-back position, Liverpool also wants to strengthen their attacking options to build on their Premier League titles success.
The Reds are close to completing the signing of Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz in a deal that could rise to a reported £ 116 million (€ 135.9 million).
Andrew Robertson is said to be important for Atletico Madrid, which means that the Scotland International could join his former club size Alexander-Arnold in the Spanish capital, after the switch from the latter to Real Madrid.
