Arteta’s side even HARDER start than last season with MU opening day trip

Arsenal is confronted with Manchester United on the opening day of the new Premier League season.

The 2025/26 campaign starts on Friday, August 15 and continues until May 24, 2026.

The troops of Mikel Arteta have finished their last three domestic campaigns in second place, with Manchester City and, most recently Liverpool, which she breaks down on the title.

This season, the North Londoners hope to get a better and end what the 22-year-old waiting time of the club will be on Domestic Glorie.

And they have learned how their season 2025/26 will come out.

First is a trip to Old Trafford to start a difficult opening month, with newly promoted Leeds the first visitors to the Emirates.

A trip to Liverpool then follows in an early title conflict – so Arteta will complete his transfer activities early.

The difficult start takes place after the first international break with Nottingham Forest and Manchester City the following two parties to visit North Londs.

Then the Gunners travel to Newcastle in what a different top of the table collision could be.

October brings a London Derby theme with games against West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

But fans will have to wait a little longer this year for the Noord -Londe Derby -Arsenal -Guestheer Tottenham on November 22 with the return setup on February 21.

A trip to Stamford Bridge follows while the Kant van Arteta takes the festive period against Brighton and Aston Villa.

Premier League champions Liverpool arrive shortly thereafter on January 7, with United also played in the Emirates in the same month.

The Arsenal campaign ends in much more friendly way to how it starts, with collisions against Fulham, West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace in May.

Arteta will hope to make a wealth of summer identities for the first domestic game of his troops of what a make-or-break season could be for his term of office.

The Spaniard still has to sign any reinforcement, but has promised the loyal Emirates to expect different arrivals in the coming weeks.

He said about the transfer window: “It will be a big one and we are very enthusiastic about it.

“The way we had planned for the first five summers, they would become very big and they would have different objectives.

“In the beginning there were many players with three, four or five -year contracts.

“So the team turning and how to visualize in the next five years was very dependent on that.

“There are certain positions that we did not expect that someone like Ethan Nwaneri or Myles Lewis-Skelly will contribute, which was great.

“The way you start evolving, you start to control certain things, then the changes cannot be that much.

“That is where we are. The line is now thinner, the margins are smaller.

“But the costs are also increasing. So it goes a bit in a different direction.

“We want to increase the depth of the team.

“But also, we want to increase the quality and skills that we need to go to the next step.

“It is a big summer for many things, because we first have to maintain the right basis that we have and in any case how we can improve and evolve the team.”
