Liverpool to pay Florian Wirtz’s parents eye-watering fee in £116m transfer deal

Florian Wirtz will enter into Liverpool at a record £ 116 million deal while the Reds are strengthening their team while trying to keep their Premier League title in the second season of Arne Slot

Liverpool will cough up £ 8.55 million for Florian Wirtz's parents while they are on their way to cementing the blockbuster signature. The German International is expected to soon complete a transfer to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen.

Wirtz will sign a contract with the Reds until 2030 while Liverpool completes a British record transfer. The side of Arne Slot stomps £ 116 million, including add-ons and the 22-year-old becomes the second best-paid player of the club, behind Mohamed Salah.

But with a medical that is expected to take place later this week, Wirtz will not be the only member of his family that benefits from. The Leverkusen star has seen his career by his parents instead of a desk.

Wirtz's parents Hans and Karin joined him when he traveled to England last month and negotiated on his behalf. And they will therefore take a healthy cut in the deal for their role.

Sport Bild, witnessing per sport, claims that in the course of their son's contract with Liverpool they will see € 10 million (£ 8.55 million). Wirtz will undergo his medical on Friday after taking a quick vacation after his time at the international service for Germany in the UEFA Nations League.

The playmaker will follow in the footsteps of Liverpool who signed Jeremie Frimpong when making the move and shared a photo of the duo on a boat. It was a busy summer so far in Anfield, where the club had said goodbye to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher. The signing of Wirtz will be followed by the arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Conversations between Liverpool and Bournemouth will continue with the cherries who have already added left -sided defender Adrien Truffert van Rennes in a £ 14.5 million deal.

Arne Slot hinted at the end of the season that the Reds would like to move quickly. “We just want good players and ideally you sign them as soon as possible,” he said.

“But it is not always easy to sign good players, let alone to sign them early in the window. But this club is not starting to work from today.

“This season is already doing so much hard work to find out what goals we have and try to sign them. I am confident that if we have tackled the right player, we try to sign that player.”
