Alex Pereira shares prediction for UFC Baku main event between two of his former opponents

Alex Pereira is better placed than most to predict the UFC Baku head event.

Light heavyweight duo Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree JR are throwing down on Saturday evening.

Alex Pereira both turned them out during his reign as the UFC champion of 205LB.

Jamahal received in the first round at UFC 300 in April 2024. A few months later, Khalil Rountree JR suffered a TKO defeat after he had been defeated bloody by the Brazilian over four rounds at UFC 307 last October.

Alex Pereira predicts the UFC Baku head event

Alex Pereira believes that Khalil Rountree is the favorite to lead the first event of the UFC in Azerbaijan.

'Patan' thinks that Jamahal Hill offered less than his upcoming opponent when they met in the Octagon.

“They are both great hunters and well completed,” Pereira told the UFC.

“I fought them both so that I can say a little more accurately.

“They are both dangerous, but I think [judging] Because of my fight against Khalil I see him have some advantage against Jamahal.

“That's my opinion.”

What is the next step for Alex Pereira?

Alex Pereira has held a relatively low profile since he lost his light heavyweight title on UFC 313 in March.

Magomed Ankalaev surpassed him in five rounds to become the new king of 205LB.

After-fight, UFC CEO Dana White shed through that Pereira would get an immediate rematch against Ankalaev.

A few months later, however, fans are still waiting for an official announcement about the fight.

“We haven't talked about it yet, but we know it's around October. It can be September, October, November,” said Pereira in his most recent comeback update.
