EXCLUSIVE: The latest on Man Utd’s pursuit of Viktor Gyokeres and Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United has maintained a calm approach in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo and Viktor Gyokeres, with optimism that securing both players remains a possibility.

The two attackers would considerably improve United's goal next season, and the club remained hopeful to complete deals at a time when manager Ruben Amorim believes that the couple is essential for his push to restore United under the elite of the Premier League.

The situation in Gyoke has become increasingly complex. The first indications suggested that United could sign him for around £ 58 million, where sources that indicate that Amorim had asked the club to continue with the move.

However, since then, Sporting CP has returned and insisted on those conditions for a higher fee. In the meantime, Arsenal entered the race while they continue to look for a new striker.

Arsenal has also seriously considered a movement for Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and if they give that transfer priority to that transfer, United Gyokeres believes within reach – even if it negotiates cunning.

Sources have confirmed that Amorim maintains a strong admiration for his former striker from their time together in Portugal and asked the club to do everything to complete the move.

The Centrum-Forward Markt has proved to be problematic. Victor Osimhen was the first top goal of United, but his personal requirements were considered excessive. The club then focused their attention on Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and considered him a smart value option for £ 30 million – only for him to choose Chelsea instead.

If they miss Gyokeres, United should broaden their horizon. That is why names such as Hugo Ekitike and Jean-Philippe Mateta have been discussed. Alternatives such as Ollie Watkins and Randal Kolo Muani are also considered to be potential names that they could turn if the Saga lives through.

Mbeumo prefers the switch to Old Trafford

It is not only the Center-Forward position that has caused complications, because United has also tried to sign Brentford's Mbeumo.

They were early movers for Mbeumo, but the situation became dark last week when Tottenham was suddenly connected to a movement. The idea was to reunite him with his former Brentford -Baas, Thomas Frank, and talk about a fee of £ 70 million – the figure for which Brentford would ideally want to sell.

United did not intend to satisfy that appreciation or to become entangled in a bidding war.

It is unclear how serious the interest of Spurs once was. Despite the noise, United has remained very confidence that they will sign him and it is expected that the situation will progress positively by the end of the month.

Sources suggest that Mbeumo Privé indicated that Old Trafford is his favorite destination earlier this month – the mirror of the attitude that Matheus Cunha took for his move from Wolves.

The Premier League matches, which were released on Wednesday, have added urgency to the transfer push of United. They open the season with a tough match at home at Arsenal, followed by early collisions against Manchester City and Chelsea.

The schedule increases the pressure to ensure that the team is ready on time – and internally there is trust that they will come there.

The club is also actively working on finding new destinations for players who are no longer part of their long -term plans.

In the attacking department, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho.

Each is a different challenge, but Garnacho's business is particularly frustrating. He is seen as the player who probably has a substantial compensation that can be invested again, but so far he has shown little enthusiasm for the proposals that are brought forward.
