Second source confirms huge deal for Barcelona regarding economic levers

Barcelona is for a second summer running and pursuing the signing of Nico Williams. After a meeting between the 22-year-old Basque winger Felix Tainta and Barcelona director of Football Deco last week, the Blaugrana decided to move again for him.

The big question is about the finances of the deal. Williams has a release clause of € 58 million and Athletic Club is not open to negotiation, which means that the payment must be in one down payment instead of in installments. In addition to bringing the money together, Barcelona must also find room in their salary limit to register Williams. However, the two parties have agreed the conditions for a deal.

The Blaugrana hope to have their VIP chairs of € 100 million validated by Auditor Crowe, who would encourage their bills, and moreover a second deal is on the horizon. Earlier this week, Cenafe President Miguel Angel Galan revealed that Barcelona hoped to bring another € 40 million for the sale of a percentage of Barca Vision, a deal that would raise their salary limit again.

This has now been confirmed by Christian Falk, who Bayern Insider has told that the German investment fund Libero will now pay the remaining € 40 million that they owed to the purchase of shares in Barca Vision. NIPA Capital paid € 20 million of the € 60 million for 9.8% of the company, but after a long -term legal dispute, Falk says that Libero will stumble the € 40 million, which will be added to Barcelona's salary limit calculations for next season.

That money will probably go to signing Nico Williams. Falk further explains that Bayern Stand-With remains in case Barcelona cannot come up with the money to pay Williams' release clause. Athletic Club still tries to hold him, but Arsenal and Chelsea seem to have changed their attention elsewhere.
