Arsenal -midfielder Thomas Partey has said goodbye to the assistant manager Carlos Cuesta of the Mikel Arteta, who takes over the new Parma head coach.
Cuesta has been working under Arteta since 2020, after he had previously coached in Atletico Madrid and Juventus, but now the 29-year-old is ready for his first senior role in Italy.
He has published an emotional message that Arsenal pays tribute for giving him the opportunity to expand his skills and expressed his gratitude to Arteta for the 'trust of him after he confirmed his exit.
Cuesta wrote: “After five beautiful years it is difficult to put this into words, but I can only express how grateful I am because I have lived my daily people with such special people and feel what it means to represent this football club, with its incredible history and values.
“It has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with the players, employees, directors and all employees of the club and at the same time receive an extra push from our great fans in every game. Enjoy the trip because it is a very exciting. Thanks @ARSENAL.”

It comes with Pitey's own future in the air while he is approaching the end of his contract in Arsenal after five season in Noord -Londen.
Arsenal will sign the real Sociedad -midfielder Martin Zubimendi, while the future of Parey continues to become uncertain, although the club revealed that they held discussions about a potentially new contract before it ends on 30 June.
The Ghana International has played 167 times for Arsenal since he came to Atletico Madrid in 2020 and scored nine times.
His manager Arteta said he was in favor of Parisey who got a new deal after playing a central role for the Gunners in the 2024-25 season after starting 31 times in the Premier League and 11 times during their run to the semi-final of the Champions League.
“Yes. I think it's consistency that it has been its best season,” said Arteta. “The way he played, played, his availability, has been exceptional and he is a very important player for us.”
