According to a report, Nico Williams has a step closer to completing a blockbuster move to Barcelona, to Barcelona this summer.
The Athletic Bilbao wing player, who was searched by Arsenal and Chelsea last season, reportedly agreed personal conditions with the Liga champions.
The Blaugrana are desperate to strengthen their attacking options, in particular on the left flank, where sports director Deco last month revealed that the party was interested in acquiring Marcus Rashford or Luis Diaz in the window.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old, however, agreed a six-year contract with the five-time European Cup winners with a salary in the region € 7m-8m (£ 6m-7m).
Despite the fact that a release clause is supposed to be around £ 50 million, Barca still has to agree on a financial package with the Basque club.
Bilbao is assumed to fully want the amount for the attacker, while Barca prefer a package that would concern payments in installments.
Earlier this month the news about Williams's preference to stay in the Spanish top flight and to become a member of Barcelona as a hammer report for Arsenal, who would also like to bring in a left -sided attacker this summer.
Williams hopes to join Lamine Yamal and Hansi film in the Nou -Kamp. Barcelona focused on Williams last summer and is now back on the market for a winger.
The Spanish international has left its mark as one of the most promising wing players in the world after the leading role at Euro 2024 alongside Yamal.
He scored the opening goal of Spain in the 2-1 last win over England in Berlin and has so far made 28 performances for the national team and scored six times.
Last season he scored 11 goals and offered seven assists in 45 performances for Athletic Club when they finished fourth in LaLiga.
