Arsenal has to add a new face to their team this summer, but it seems that Mikel Arteta would like to be a double raid on the London rival Chelsea of the Gunners, while he wants to get his first signing over the line
Arsenal monitors Noni Madueke in the midst of his uncertain future in Chelsea. The wing player of England has passed a mixed enchantment at Stamford Bridge since his arrival of the Dutch Side PSV in January 2023.
The 22-year-old has been in and out of the side, although it is fresh from the back of the most productive season of his career to date. Madueke scored 11 goals for Chelsea last season when they claimed the Conference League.
But it seems that his future in West -London is far from certain. According to De Telegraaf, Madueke is not considered unassailable by club heads this summer and that has led a number of clubs to show an interest.
It is suggested that Arsenal is one of the parties to keep an eye on developments, although they have stopped submitting an official investigation to their London rivals. The Gunners would like to add a new winger to their team this summer, after they had previously had Nico Williams at the top of their shortlist.
The Athletic Bilbao star, however, seems to be on his way to Barcelona, so Arsenal would look somewhere else. Madueke has therefore emerged as an alternative.
But it can be difficult to praise him from Stamford Bridge. Madueke has left for five years to his contract with the blues, while Enzo Maresca has completely rejected the prospect of an exit this summer.
Speaking at the club World Cup, he said: “Noni is our player. At the moment you can read speculation about many players. But Noni is our player. We consider Noni our player for next season.”
In the meantime, Chelsea wants to add a winger after the potential four -year -old doping ban of Mykhailo Mudryk and the return of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United. Maresca added: “We already had a whole season without Mischa. We are going to decide to go for a winger.

“In both cases we have Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto as the right wing players, then we try to adapt with Tyrique George. It is a position we need to improve.”
Madueke is not the first Chelsea star where Arsenal has been associated with this season. Reports earlier in the window suggested that the Gunners would sign the Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after activating his £ 5 million release clause, but a deal has yet to be announced.
