Barcelona exit on the rocks as negotiations come to standstill

Barcelona has a lot of motivation to accelerate their exit operation this summer, while director of Football Deco seems to go to a number of players to erase the salary limit for the possible signing of Nico Williams. No fewer than seven players have to leave if the Blaugrana does not want to prevent them from sacrificing one of their more appreciated assets.

Ansu Fati is in that list. It has been clear for some time that the future of the 22-year-old road is from Camp Nou, where Hansi film offers him precious opportunities. That is why he will look for opportunities elsewhere. It had been reported that he was about a step to Monaco, but that movement seems to stand still.

Fati has probably given the green light for a movement, and Monaco coach Adi Hutter would like to collaborate with the injury-sensitive forward. Hutter, however, asked to complete as many deals as possible for their preseason, say Sport (via Semper Barca) and wants new faces in 28 June. Their information is that there is now doubt about whether a move will be completed in Monaco.

The Catalan daily claims that while agent Jorge Mendes has tried to wrap the deal, their views remain 'distant'. The deal runs into the real danger of collapse, they quote L'Equipe, who also say that Monaco believes that Hutter has enough firepower in the team, reducing the need for a movement for Fati.

The most important problems that hold the deal are the fashion of the deal. There is a fundamental disagreement about how much of the salary of Fati Barcelona will continue to pay, as one of the highest earners in their team. The second is whether the deal is a loan, or an option to buy is included, or whether it can be a sale with a return option for Barcelona. Fati currently has two years left over his deal, but his exit is deemed necessary to erase the space in their salary limit, and the Blaugrana supposedly established a deadline for the end of June.
