OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen for £116m on 5-year deal

Liverpool has completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen game maker Florian Wirtz for a fee of £ 116 million for a deal of five years.

The total package is £ 116 million, consisting of an initial reimbursement of £ 100 million plus £ 16 million in potential add-ons.

Wirtz, who had spent his entire senior career at Leverkusen, scored 10 goals and registered 12 assists in 25 Starts when his party finished in second place last season to Bayern Munich, a year after winning a competition and cup double.

After drawing Liverpool, Florian Wirtz speaks: “I feel very happy and very proud. Finally it is ready and I was waiting for a long time – finally it is ready and I am really happy.

“I am really excited to have a new adventure in front of me. This was also a big point of my thoughts: that I want something completely new to go out of the Bundesliga and to become a member of the Premier League.

“I will see how I can perform there. I hope I can do my best. I also spoke with some players who played there and they told me it is perfect for me and that every throw is perfect, you can enjoy every game. I really look forward to playing my first game.

“I would like to win everything every year! First of all we have to do our work, I have to make my job.

“In the end we want to be successful. Last season they won the Premier League, so my goal will certainly win again and continue in the Champions League. I am really ambitious.”
