Kolo Muani will not need convincing to make Juve move, says Thuram

Juventus' Khephren Thuram believes that he does not have to convince fellow countryman Randal Kolo Muani to make a permanent switch to the Serie A -side.

Kolo Muani came to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in January until the end of the season, with the deal extensively to enable him to participate in the club World Cup.

The French International yielded eight goals in Serie A, the second highest total in the team, and on average every 145.5 minutes for the Igor Tudor team.

Indeed, the last French player who scored eight or more goals with Juventus in a Serie A season from January was David Trezeguet in 2005-06 (also eight).

Kolo Muani led his good shape to the Club World Cup and walked twice in the opening group G-competition of Juventus while they had already beaten Ain 5-0 in Audi Field earlier this week.

The 26-year-old has expressed his wish to stay with Juventus next season, and Thuram believes that he would be a welcome addition to their team in 2025-26.

“He is one of the world's best strikers. He is fast, scores goals and works hard for the team,” said Thuram.

'I don't have to convince him [to stay]. This is Juventus and everyone wants to stay. “

Juventus is preparing for their second game at the Club World Cup and takes on Wydad AC, who lost to Manchester City on Sunday in their opening match of the tournament.

Their 5-0 win over Al Ain was the biggest victory margin in the very first club World Cup match of a team, which exceeds 4-0 victories by Barcelona in 2006 and Paris Saint-Germain earlier this tournament.

Thuram, together with Alberto Costa, each registered two assists for Juventus in that victory, the only few teammates who recorded several assists on MatchDay one of the competition.

“I am very happy to be involved [Club World Cup]. It is the first time and we are proud to represent Italy, “said Thuram.

“It is always great to participate in these tournaments with Juventus, and we have to do our best.

A victory for Juventus against Wydad is likely to seal their place in the last 16 of the World Cup club, depending on how Man City is doing against Al Ain in their group meeting.

The Serie -Outfit gets a chance of 11% to reach the final and a probability of 4% to eliminate the trophy, although Thuram has complete confidence that his team can go completely.

“Of course we believe in it, but at the moment we have to concentrate on the present,” said Thuram. “We take the one game at the same time, and we will see.”
