Khabib Nurmagomedov tells Dana White to sign his Olympian teammate to fight Jon Jones

Since his retirement of the sport in 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov has continued his relationship with the UFC and more importantly Dana White.

When Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement of the sport in 2020, it not only came as a shock for the UFC fans, but also for UFC boss Dana White.

Since then, White has tried to take Khabib back into action with various seductive options, but 'The Eagle' has always remained faithful to his word and has stayed in sport as a coach.

Although he continued to claim that Khabib retired too early, White held a good relationship with the Russian and recently traveled to meet the former UFC light weight champion.

Khabib tries to negotiate with Dana White to sign his teammate

Earlier this month, Nurmagomedov shared images of a new training center that he had built in Dagestan, and claimed that money he had earned from his rivalry with Conor McGregor to pay for it.

Khabib is looking for the estate of his father as one of the greatest MMA coaches and continues to coach some of the best hunters in the world and will continue to do this from his new training center.

With several of his hunters who already fought under the UFC banner, during a recent meeting with the UFC boss, Nurmagomedov tried to negotiate with White to sign his teammate Abdulrashid Sadulaev.

Sadulaev has won Olympic gold twice in Freestyle Wrestling, in 2016 and 2020 and has to switch to MMA.

Nevertheless, Khabib had a recent meeting with White Sadulaev in Facetime who tried to negotiate with White and Hunter Campbell about a possible UFC signature and a subsequent fight against Jon Jones.

“Khabib, tell him that we are preparing for the Russian championship and the World Cup,” Sadulaev told Khabib who spent the message to White.

“They are preparing for the Russian championship. He is a double Olympic champion, he wants to be in the UFC,” Nurmagomedov said the UFC boss.

“Good luck! Good luck,” White replied.

“He is 87 kilos, slightly heavyweight for your boy Jon Jones,” Nurmagomedov joked.

“He wants to be in the UFC”-Two-style Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev expressed his desire to become a member of the UFC during a call with Dana White, with Khabib Nurmagomedov as a translator. 🥇🇷🇺🦅 pic.twitter.com/fmmcyntmlt

Jon Jones not interested in Tom Aspinall fight while Saga continues

The UFC heavyweight Titelsaga between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall has continued to frustrate the fan base, where Jones continues to refuse to fight the interim champion.

In a recent interview, Jones claimed that Aspinall 'does not excite' him and stated that he will not fight against him. The heavyweight champion then stormed out the interview after he was asked one last question about the potential fight against Aspinall.
