Kamaru Usman's brother returned to the Octagon with an impressive bowl of victory to probably save his UFC career.
Heavyweight Competier Mohammed Usman seemed to be on his way to another defeat in the early stages of his confrontation with Hamdy Abdelwahab, who was 4-0 that takes the fight. However, Usman recovered well and won the second and third to send him back to the winning column.
It marked the first victory for Usman in almost two years, after two decision reports for Mick Parkin and Thomas Petersen. And if he was lost again, it would probably have been curtains for his UFC career.

Mohammed Usman boarded the Octagon in Baku on Saturday evening, stimulated by the first victory of his brother since November 2021 in Atlanta last week. But he struggled early with the power of Abdelwahab and ended up in a firefight that he seemed to find hard to win.
In the second moment, however, he managed to land his own big shots to earn respect from his rival and clearly circulating. It completely lowered the fight to the third, which was relatively close to a series of about a minute from the end.
Usman landed a huge right hand that surprised his rival, who probably waved the judges to his advantage. He continued on the finish, but did not get any time, so the fight could go the score cards, where he received three 29-28 cards that put an end to the winning run of his undefeated opponent.

Tonight's victory, the Usman Brothers, who had been 0-5 on their way to the UFC Atlanta last weekend, brings 2-0 in the past week. Last week, Kamaru Usman postponed Joaquin Buckley in the State Farm Arena to end losing run for a year.

The impressive wrestling of the former Weltergegewain champion had forgotten over the years, but he reminded Buckley how dominant he can be. He completely took over from rounds one to four, for an exciting finish in the fifth when the challenger insisted on a much needed finish.
It all led to an emotional scene in the Octagon after the fact for the former champion. He managed to remain sufficiently compiled to send an imminent message to his 170 pounds of rivals. “The rest of the welterweight division, Listen,” said Usman. “I have and will always be the F— – Boogeyman.”
