Ismail Naurdiev deducted two points after he thought he had defeated Junyong Park with illegal knee
Park took the walk during the UFC Baku -Prelims, looking for his second straight victory in the Octagon. 'The Iron Turtle' secured that exactly, but it was not without some brutal adversity.
During the round two, Ismail Nurdiev threw an illegal knee in park, who was against the fence. The shot was channeled in the face of the South Korean, which dropped when referee Lukasz Bosacki entered.
The Chechen hunter confused the Time -Out wrongly with a TKO break. He turned around with his hands up and spoke the cage in the celebration – only to realize that he had not won.
Naurdiev escaped a disqualification after doctors had considered the park, despite intense swelling in his left eye. But the 28-year-old did not escape unpunished.
He was beaten with a rare two -point deduction, which was not seen in the UFC since Marc Goddard Roman Bogatov gave the same result on UFC 251 in 2020.
The previous year also saw Jones punished in the same way. Jones kneaded illegally Anthony Smith on UFC 235, which resulted in the loss of two points. That ultimately made little difference, while 'bones' threw a decision to defend his light heavyweight title.

Junyong Park Rallies to beat Ismail Nurdiev despite brutal eye injury
The illegal movement and the horrible result were not enough to stop the charging 'iron turtle'.
Due to likely limited vision and considerable pain, Park Dominated Round Three dominated to achieve a crooked unanimous decision on the score cards.
After Naurdiev survived a narrow choke attempt in the dying seconds, the Chechens listened while Bruce Buffer 29-26, 29-26 and 29-25 read statements in favor of his opponent.
The result marked Nuurdiev's first defeat in the UFC after his successful debut against Bruno Silva on UFC 308 last October.
In the meantime, Park is running a two-fogging streak and has emerged from six of his last seven fights as a victor. His strong performance in Baku could give him a prominent opponent next time.
