Tel Magomed Ankalaev among those who are not impressed by Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree JR's efforts on UFC Baku.
The pair of light heavyweight contenders was given the task of closing the show for the very first visit of the UFC to Azerbaijan.
Both Hill and Rountree JR wanted to bump their names back into the title photo after losing Alex Pereira in 2024, they kept off the throne at 205 pounds.
In the end, it was 'The War Horse' that succeeded in that goal and several times 'Sweet Dreams' fall on the way to a comfortable decision victory in Baku Crystal Hall.

In the eyes of many, the UFC Baku head event left a lot to be desired. And among those who were less than satisfied with what they witnessed in the victory of Rountree JR at Hill was the champion of the division.
Ankalaev appeared on X halfway through the headliner of Saturday, while he was undoubtedly watching a sharp eye on a fight that would expect a potential future challenger to outline for him.
But the Dagestani is probably not interested in sharing the cage with both husband, considering how he reacted to the fight.
“I fall asleep,” wrote Ankalaev and shared a similar sentiment for many fans online.

Magomed Ankalaev was unhappy with more than just the Hill vs Rountree JR fight.
It was not only the In-Fight action in which Ankalaev had shared a critical analysis of social media.
The reigning light heavyweight champion also focused on the conversation after the fight of the couple, in which referee Herb Dean intervened when the couple exchanged what seemed to be heated words.
Ankalaev has tried.
“Bad sportiness,” he said.

The debut event of the UFC in Baku was certainly an up and down affair. In addition to a faint main event, the map started with seven straight finishes.
However, there were a number of highlights, including a brutal finish for Nazim Sadykhov in home land and a co-main event victory for Rafael Fiziev who sent those who left the Arena home for the main event.
