The midfielder of Turkey is a target for Galatasaray, but Marotta says he has no sign that Calhanoglu is restless.
He said Sportmediaset: “I can say that we are constantly in contact with him and I have not noticed any discomfort or dissatisfaction with being here. He is currently injured and training individually, but in recent days he has shown a lot of respect and professionalism in the past few days.
“We have nothing to blame him. The rumors that go around are typical of the transfer market, reinforced by this official competition, around which certain comments – some even deliberately mislead – tend to circulate.
“Unless the player comes to the fore and explicitly expressed the wish to leave – but that has not happened so far.”
In the meantime, Marotta admits that Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny is being considered.
He added: “He is a player in our notebook, but we have not yet started with full negotiations. We will do it calmly because we do not yet know Parma's attitude – but I do not deny that we are interested.”
