Arsenal has identified Rodrygo as a top goal of the summer in their search for a quality wing of quality, but it can take time for a deal for the real madrid -superster to materialize
Arsenal may have to play a waiting game to land Real Madrid -Superster Rodrygo. The Gunners chase an elite level left wing player and the Brazil international is on their radar as an ambitious target for this summer.
Real Madrid may be willing to let Rodrygo leave this summer – but would demand more than £ 70 million and his wage requirements would make him one of the top earners of Arsenal. Arsenal Sporting Director Andrea Berta had conversations this summer with a series of top clubs, agents and stars and there is a conviction that Real Madrid might be willing to do business.
Rodrygo, 24, can also have a new challenge, although he is currently one of the most frightening forward lines of football with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
But Arsenal knows that the position of Real Madrid can mitigate as the transfer window pulled and if they have to discharge or lower their requirements, it is probably later in the window.
It would be a gamble because they had already seen another top goal, Athletic Bilbao 'Nico Williams, standing in line for a move to Barcelona.
But there is a genuine interest in Rodrygo and it is still to see whether they can claim it and get encouragement – or have to look anywhere else. However, the left wing player remains a top priority.
Arsenal will also have to balance the potential costs of a wing of the left top left with the price of a new NO9 with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko that pops up as the favorite target.
They have tried Sesko for more than 18 months, they almost got him last summer and did groundwork to land the Slovenian striker.
But RB Leipzig has retained with a price of more than £ 70 million, while Berta is also known for chasing multiple goals and then continuing with the best deal.
That is why Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyökeres is still a strong opportunity and Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa is also on the radar because Arsenal wants to strengthen in different positions and not blow all their money on one target.
They have already set up a £ 51 million movement for Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and that deal will be confirmed and announced incoming.
Berta also looked at the defense and the chance to shake it up and improve the backup options.
