According to a report from L'équipe, Nantes has in principle reached an agreement with the Russian Premier League champions FK Krasnodar for the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Augusto. The deal is worth € 6.5 million and marks an important departure of the Ligue 1 side this summer.
The 28-year-old will put an end to his stay of two seasons in La Beaujoire. Augusto joined Les Canaris from the Greek side Paok Thessaloniki in 2023 and soon became a central figure in midfield under a succession of managers. He left his contract for another two years.
The first range of Krasnodar – reported in the region of € 4 million – was rejected, but the Russian club returned with an improved offer that appreciates Nantes with Nantes.
This marks the second major sale of Nantes van de Raam, after the approaching switch from Moses Simon to the newly promoted Paris FC. It marks the start of a transfer window for manager Luís Castro who requires an all -round change in the club. GFFN | George Boxall
