Nice overtake Lyon in race to sign Manchester City’s Juma Bah on loan

According to a report from L'Equipe, OGC Nice has taken the pole position in the race to sign Manchester City defender Juma Bah (19) on loan. The teenager has become a target for French clubs after a successful six-month period in Ligue 1 with RC-Lens last season.

Olympique Lyonnais seemed to be the favorites to secure his services for the 2025/26 season. Especially since it has been reported that Lyon will take a player on loan from the Premier League side, as part of the move from Rayan Cherki to Manchester. L'équipe writes, however, that Lyon focuses on expanding the Clinton Mata (32) contract, with the current deal of the defender that ends in 2026.

Being fun in the lead and are convinced that they can quickly agree. Allegedly Bah would like to play for Les Aiglons, where there is the possibility to play European football in the UEFA Champions League (if Nice can find a way beyond the qualifying rounds).
