UFC 318 marks the end of Dustin Poirier's career, because he challenges Max Holloway in the main event.
The show takes place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and marks the sixth time that the UFC has visited the area.
The BMF title of Max Holloway will be at stake while the legendary Dustin Poirier fights its last fight, on a map full of incredible matchups that take place.

Max Holloway vs Dustin Poirier
Poirier sees the most important event of UFC 318 going to the Octagon for the last time in his third battle with Holloway.
Poirier will retire after UFC 318 and welcome his first son in the world to what an enormous change of life will be for the former interim -thuikc lightweight champion.
He has not fought anymore since Islam Makhachev choked Poirier in June last year and ended his chances of becoming a full UFC light weight champion for the first time in his career.
Holloway also comes from a loss for a top champion, who was defeated by Ilia Topuria in his last outing, so a victory over the retreating legend will be crucial for his climb back to title conflicts.
Ateba Gautier vs Robert Valentin
The Co-Main event of the evening Kuilt Cameroonian Ateba Gautier in a middleweight collision with his Swiss counterpart, Robert Valentin.
Gautier won his UFC debut earlier this year with a first round knockout against Jose Daniel Medina, which contributed to his 7-1-0 record in MMA so far.
“The Silent Assassin” will hope to continue his impressive series against “Robzilla”, a Swiss hunter who lost his first two UFC fights.
Gautier's height, weight and range advantage should help him beat the Swiss hunter, but the non-tested up-and-comer must be on their guard that everything can happen in the UFC.
Paulo Costa vs Roman Kopylov
In their harassed fight, Paulo Costa fights Roman Kopylov on the main map of UFC 318.
Costa vs Koplov was moved from UFC 317 to UFC 318 for unknown reasons, but it was quickly added to the event in New Orleans.
Costa has not fought anymore since a split loss for Sean Strickland on UFC 302, so he will have to shake the rust of the ring of the ring when he gets back into the Octagon on July 19.
In the meantime, his Russian opponent is back-to-back victories in his last two fights, so he will be sure that he will go to the UFC 318 card in their match.
Michael Johnson vs Daniel Zellhuber
The last match on the UFC 318 head card has the American Michael Johnson against his Mexican opponent, Daniel Zellhuber.
Johnson is a veteran of the Octagon and in 2011 completely debuted in the UFC.
The 39-year-old will turn out to be a heavy opponent for the 25-year-old Zellhuber, who has to use his athletics to prevent Johnson's immense experience.
Prelims
There are currently three fights announced to take place on the UFC 318 prelims. The first is Marvin Vettori vs Brendon Allen, because the #10 and #11 medium weights, each with a view to a future title shot.
The second pits Kyler Phillips against Vinicius Oliveira, in a fight between two men with impressive records in the UFC.
The last game is another middleweight fight. Ikram Aliskerov seems to build on his last victory over Andre Muniz, but is confronted with a tough opponent in “The Hulk” Bruno Ferreira.
Early prelims
Four fights have been announced for the early prelims. These include Neil Magny vs Gunnar Nelson, Jimmy Crute vs Marcin Prachnio, Adam Fugitt vs Islam Dulatov and the only ladies' fight on the map, Carli Judice vs Nicolle Caliari.
