Jake Paul shut down $300 million grudge match with bitter rival before targeting Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

The next fight by Jake Paul could have been considerably more lucrative than the Julio Cesar Chavez JR Bout is expected.

The next step in Paul's polarizing boxing career comes on Saturday 28 June, while the YouTuber-Pugilistic headlines in the Honda Center of Anaheim.

After the controversial Netflix collision of Paul with Mike Tyson, the resident of Cleveland will be confronted with a pro -boxer almost two decades younger than 'Iron Mike' in Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

After Recordkijker in the combat debut of Netflix, Paul returns to Pay-per-View to Square Off with Chavez Jr on Dazn. But when it comes to drawing eyeballs and income, the Mexican boxer was apparently not the most lucrative option of Paul.

KSI's manager appreciated the Jake Paul Grudge match for $ 300 million

The career of the former Disney star has largely followed a trend to be confronted with MMA veterans beyond their Prime. That has led to Paul's knockout victory against Tyron Woodley and decisions on Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

All this time, one rivalry has looked for 'the problem child' back to the YouTube boxing scene.

Talk about Paul Vecht against KSI has been around since the two games of the British star against Logan Paul. But public negotiations have often reached obstacles. The most recent delay came earlier this year, when it turned out that Paul vs. KSI was on the table before the Chavez JR Bout was announced.

KSI's manager, Mamms Taylor, destroyed a supposed lack of “compromise” on the side of Paul, and told Sun Sport that it cost him a potential matchup of $ 300 million.

“If Jake Paul does not come to the table and make a compromise, the fight will not happen,” Taylor said. “They are not going to fight KSI unless they have enormous benefits.

“It's so much on the line. The bragging for that fight is worth more than the money. It is also a huge cash fight.

“You know, it's a fight of $ 300 million, $ 250 million. It is a huge fight. I don't think there are much larger pay-per-views than that.”

Jake Paul closed the door on long-awaited KSI fight

Paul later confirmed that negotiations had taken place for the KSI match before he set his sights on Chavez Jr.

During an appearance on the Ariel Helwani show, the 28-year-old explained that he closed the door on the resort to pursue larger and better fights.

“They only want eight rounds … they just keep adding new things (to the negotiations) always,” said Paul. “I am focused on much bigger things.

“I am everything that KSI has, he is literally nothing without the Paul brothers. … At the end of the day I do much bigger things and I don't have to sit here and negotiate things on Twitter.

“Not me (think it's going to happen),” Paul added. “I have been saying this for five or six years. … I am clearly the one who is an active hunter, I am fighting everyone, so who is the problem here? They are not a serious boxing, outsiders … it's a circus.”

In the eyes of the KSI manager, however, there are no “larger” combinations in the ring for Paul.
