Manchester United has been associated with a summer movement for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez with Andre Onana who is confronted with an uncertain future at Old Trafford
An update has been provided about the future of Manchester United-linked Emiliano Martinez.
The 2022 World Cup winning keeper is confronted with an uncertain future in Aston Villa. Martinez was seen in tears after the last home game of the Villans of the Premier League in 2024/25 while he is considering starting a new chapter in his career.
Martinez signed a new contract 10 months ago and brought his long -term future to the club. However, it now seems uncertain. After not securing a financial lucrative place in next season's Champions League, Villa could be tempted to cash in 32-year-old, which will be 33 later this year.
Martinez have underlined various reports as a potential replacement for Andre Onana. Manchester Evening News understands that Onana is expected to stay this summer. After having made a few controversial mistakes at Old Trafford and then, the signing of a new first-choice keeper was tipped.
But every hope that Martinez will come to the Reds this summer still seems remote at this stage. Miguel Delaney of the Independent claimed in his latest newsletter that every movement for the Argentinian is still seen as a way.
Martinez is also supposed to have admirers in Saudi Arabia with a lucrative move to the Gulf state on the cards. A transfer costs of approximately £ 30-40 million have been proposed.
The shot stop itself is said to be “open” for a move to Old Trafford. And now United is apparently advised why they might have the advantage in every transfer battle.
