Alexander Volkanovski faces off with potential next title challenger during team vs team stare down

Alexander Volkanovski and the UFC fanbase are still waiting to find out who he will defend his featherweight title against next.

Last April at UFC 314 Alexander Volkanovski, all the opportunities when he recaptured the UFC -Fedweight title in the main event and defeated Diego Lopes through a decision.

After the fight, Volkanovski revealed that he would like to defend his title against Movsar Evloev, then he was denied that fight when Evloev accepted to fight newcomer Aaron Pico.

UFC boss Dana White claimed that with a victory over Pico would be 'probably' to fight for the title, but given that he has beaten the Russian several times, it is not guaranteed.

With the undefeated Russian for the time being from the title photo, rumors started to come up that the next title defense of Volkanovski would come against the former enemy, Yair Rodriguez.
