Jake Paul was booed from the Arena despite the beating of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr when he took his biggest step on Saturday evening in Anaheim.
The YouTuber boxer took on former middleweight champion Chavez for a raw crowd that broke the gushing record for boxing events in the Anaheim Center. Paul's last ring outing was a huge cash fight with Mike Tyson, while the former champion defeated the former UFC star Uriah Hall last summer.
Paul stood in the run -up to fought to achieve a world ranking and follow Cruiserweight gold. And he set up that by defending Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez his belt against Yuniel Dorticos on the Undercard.
Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez JR Result
Despite the fact that he was a former resident of California, the Anaheim was not open to Jake Paul or his brother Logan when they gave the ring in the ring. Julio Cesar Chavez JR received a delicious welcome and went back to his days as a world champion.
Chavez always fights as low as middleweight, but did not look significantly by Paul who attacked the body in the opening fairs. Both were for the time being when it came to looking for big shots, but it was the YouTuber who used to take over the greater shots and made his rival Miss Wild.
In the second round, Paul found his reach and managed to impose the size difference that was clear in the structure of the battle. The Mexican did not look like he would even bind himself by two when the fans started in the Arena loudly, and he almost landed there at the end of the second.
The third was more of the same as Chavez struggled to land something remarkably, but he came to life in the fourth when Paul started to put more pressure. In the fifth he started well and landed a combination to surprise California's audience, but got a big shot from the social media star.
Halfway through the point it was perhaps still someone's fight, although Paul was at the top. Chavez looked slowly and not willing to really involve, apart from a few punches from the conflict and a small combination against the end of the sixth.
After very little before five and a half rounds, the fight came to life at the end of the sixth with both men who land large shots on their rivals. The seventh and eighth were much of a big one before a fiery finish of the ninth.
Chavez clearly hurt Paul by the end of the round and had to insist on a finish in round ten, which he did to the best of their ability. However, it was too late because Paul survived the late attack and won the unanimous decision with three score cards that read 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92.
Zurdo Ramirez is struggling with Yuniel Dorticos in Co-Main event
Part of the promotion for tonight's main event was a promise that Paul could go for Cruiserweight Gold with a victory. To help with this marketing effort, Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez received a defense against Yuniel Dorticos.
The two -weight world champion was supposed to beat Dorticos conveniently, but it seems that the challenger did not read the script and put him on his test for 12 rounds. The jury members ultimately scored fairly broad, which seemed unfair about the efforts of the Underdog.
After the fight, the conversation was not from Paul, but a potential world title of the world title with Jai Opetaia. The couple has three of the four belts at 200 pounds and have had a collision course for a long time – hopefully with plans for a meeting soon.
Instead, it is likely that Paul a meeting with WBC champion Badou Jack, who will be 42 this year and is better known as a super-mid-weight than a cruiserweight.
