Dana White issues emphatic two-word response to Jon Jones’ claim he retired in 2024

Dana White has concluded the conversation about Jon Jones who retires MMA after UFC 309.

'Bones' hit Stipe Miocic to defend his heavyweight title in Madison Square Garden last November.

Bad luck, talk, focused on a potential unification fight with interim champion Tom Aspinall.

Seven months later, Jon Jones announced his retirement to make Aspinall the undisputed heavyweight king.

Dana White denies that Jon Jones retired in 2024

Jon Jones constantly posted social media during his first official week in retirement.

On Friday, the greatest hunter of all time caused a stir by claiming that he told the UFC that he was ready after he had defeated Miocic.

“I was retired last November and I worked Non -Stop,” tweeted Jones.

“I actually work harder now that I am not fighting, but it is so nice. No more sweating, just use my personality and give fans all the love I can. Sounds like a reasonably good performance.”

When a curious fan asked him why he held the division up by staying the UFC heavyweight champion, he replied: “I was told 1000 times to just reconsider and just give it more time. That is the truth.”

Dana White appealed to Jones's claim with an emphatic statement of two words on UFC 317.

“Not true,” the UFC CEO was on.

White added: “I will tell you the truth. Believe who you want to believe.”

Jon Jones insists that Tom Aspinall -fight has never been agreed

This is not the only thing Jones and White have not seen an eye to an eye on since the pension news fell.

White claimed that Jones vs Aspinall was 'ready' before the 37-year-old American changed his mind.

However, the man himself states that he has never agreed to share the Octagon with Aspinall.

“When the fight was ready, believe me, I would fight,” wrote Jones in a tweet removed since then.

“We started negotiating at some point, yes, but [it] Was never done.

“At the time, my job was to sit back and be quiet about it and that is exactly what I did.

“I enjoyed my life that should have been clear to you.”
