Dana White expresses dislike for Ilia Topuria vs. Paddy Pimblett face-off at UFC 317

Dana White was not a fan of Paddy Pimblett who crashed the title profit of Ilia Topuria on UFC 317.

Ilia Topuria quickly worked on Saturday evening by former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in the UFC 317 Headliner.

The undefeated Topuria followed knockouts by Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway with another one, who pulled Oliveira with Power -Bumps in a few minutes, just as he predicted that he would do that.

Topuria is another champion and is one of the nine hunters who win titles in two weight classes.

After he had written history on UFC 317, Topuria did not waste time in the welcome of a fight with the British star Paddy Pimblett, a title defense he recently excluded. The heated rivals squadrates in the Octagon and Topuria pushed Pimblett after a few words.

According to the UFC CEO, the face-off of Topuria-Pimblett should not even have happened.

'That's not the fight' … Dana White on Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett Face-Off on UFC 317

Octagon face-offs between hunters usually indicate that this is the next fight to make in the division.

We saw the new #1 flightweight competitor Joshua of essentially confirming as the next title Challenger by Alexandre Pantoja by abandoning him after his victory over UFC 317.

That was good with Dana White, but Pimblett and Topuria? Their face-off was a different story.

“Well, he is the number one competition,” White said he was able to cope with Pantoja.

“I just said that the winner of that fight would get a title shot and of course the fans wanted that [see the face-off]. “

White went on.

“My thing with Ilia Topuria is that his wife and child are in the octhoek …

“That's not the fight,” White said about Topuria and Pimblett to each other.

“It shouldn't happen.

“Well, that's not really what we do,” White responded to a reporter who said the face-off was fun to watch. “

“I don't give it – if it was fun to look or not. That shouldn't happen. Plus, he wins a second title in a higher division. It was a bad call by whom they let there in God.”

Joe Rogan gestured to security to allow Paddy Pimblett in the Octagon

During his interview after the fight with Joe Rogan, Topuria #1 competition Arman Tsarukyan took the next title shot because he had withdrawn from a title fight with Islam Makhachev because of a back injury.

While he was clearly talking about Tsarukyan, Rogan had misunderstood him and thought he addressed the #8-ranked competitionman Paddy Pimblett.

Asked about fighting Pimblett, Topuria said “bring him here.”

“Paddy is in the audience, let's see if we can let him come,” Joe Rogan said on the microphone.

The security ide was not second and left Pimblett in the cage without any problems.

“Look at me. I'm going to subject you, you small p —. I'm going to put my B on your forehead,” Topuria told Pimblett.

“You would never eliminate myself. I would finish your little man,” Pimblett said before Topuria pushed him.
